Mr. Uttinger always pushed me to do what I was afraid of like the poetry contest and drama, and finally by the fourth year of high school, I was able to win third place in the poetry contest and have a part in the school play. Thanks to his insistence that I go outside my comfort zone and encouragement when I did well, I am no longer afraid.
