Greg has always been a consistent teacher. He never patronized us or provoked us. He never threw information at us, like mashed potatoes against a window, hoping something would stick long enough for us to pass a test or two. Greg taught us to think, to ask questions, to determine why we believed what we claimed to believe. He instilled in us not only a fire and hunger for knowledge but also for our Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. He brought life to the mundane, he faced our fears alongside of us, not from behind a desk, and he believed in us. He cared whether we were living up to our full potential. He pushed us and demanded excellence, an excellence that most, if not all, of us were willing to work towards and give him.

Mr. Uttinger is one of those rare, wonderful teachers that you never forget. His lessons stay with you for the rest of your life. While I was away in the Air Force, I drew upon those lessons and applied them to the real world. I don't think I will ever forget him. He is a wonderful, unique, and creative individual. Mr. Uttinger, is in my opinion, one of the greatest teachers out there. If you are looking to enroll your students into one of his classes, you will not regret it and neither will your son or daughter. To this day, I still think about the wonderful memories I had in his classroom.
